WooCommerce adds Reddit integration to reach high-intent shoppers

WooCommerce has launched a new integration with Reddit Ads that aims to help merchants reach Reddit’s ‘high-intent’ shopping communities by streamlining ad setup and automating catalog syncing.

The feature, announced on the WooCommerce blog, connects stores directly to Reddit’s ad tools and reduces the number of technical steps normally required to begin advertising on the platform.

Automation designed to simplify ad setup

The integration is built around automation. Merchants can enable the Reddit Pixel and Conversations API with one click, with standard ecommerce events pre-mapped to support campaign optimization. Product catalogs can be pushed to Reddit Ads Manager in a single step, and will then refresh automatically, helping ensure that pricing and stock data used in Dynamic Product Ads remains accurate.

WooCommerce highlights Reddit’s influence on buying journeys as a key motivation behind the partnership, citing internal data that more than half of online purchase-related conversations occur on the platform.

A timely launch for holiday advertising

WooCommerce positions the rollout as especially relevant ahead of the holiday shopping period, when users frequently compare products, seek advice, and read community reviews. Reddit’s own research asserts that it is the “#1 most trustworthy platform” for product and brand decisions among major social networks.

However, despite the simplified setup, merchants may still face challenges: Reddit’s community-driven culture can be difficult to advertise within, and success often depends on aligning ad creative with subreddit expectations. Smaller stores may also need time to prepare well-structured catalog feeds for Dynamic Product Ads.

A coordinated effort to make running Reddit ads easier

Both companies describe the launch as part of a broader effort to lower ad-tech barriers for small and medium-sized merchants. “This partnership is about increasing speed and reducing technical burden for time-crunched ecommerce merchants,” said Harish Balasubramanian, Reddit’s Head of SMB Product. Aleks Hardt, WooCommerce’s GM of Strategic Partnerships, added that Reddit’s trust-based environment creates “major growth potential for brands.”

The extension is now available through the WooCommerce Marketplace. Merchants can install it, connect or create a Reddit Ads account, enable tracking signals, sync their catalog and launch campaigns from Reddit Ads Manager.

Why this matters to ecommerce merchants

Reddit hosts millions of consumers who actively research what to buy, making it a potentially valuable — but historically underused — advertising channel for smaller brands.

This integration lowers the effort required to test Reddit ads by automating catalog feeds and tracking setup. That said, merchants still need to tailor campaigns to Reddit’s community norms.

For stores looking to reach shoppers at the exact moment they are deciding between products, the feature offers a more accessible route into a high-intent ad environment.
