Lovable launches AI-powered Shopify integration that builds online stores from a simple prompt

AI website builder Lovable has announced a new integration with Shopify, allowing users to create and launch a fully functional ecommerce store simply by describing their idea in plain English. The integration, which is currently available for use on new Shopify store builds only, aims to take merchants “from idea to store in minutes.”

With the new feature, users can type a prompt like as “Create a Shopify store for selling craft beer” — and Lovable’s AI will automatically design and build the site. The generated storefront includes product pages, checkout functionality, and navigation — all powered by Shopify’s commerce infrastructure.

Because stores are built within Lovable’s AI environment, users can also customize broader elements of the experience — from landing pages and onboarding flows to post-purchase touchpoints. Once complete, merchants can claim and publish their new stores directly on Shopify.

Lovable says the tool is aimed at a wide range of users — creators looking to monetize audiences, founders validating new ideas, and established Shopify brands wanting to test new store experiences.

Why this matters to ecommerce merchants

The new Lovable+Shopify integration has the potential to make launching an online store far less intimidating. Instead of wrestling with templates, plugins, and code, new merchants can now input their vision and get a fully-functional Shopify store within minutes (in theory at least!).
