Fast Simon announces new integration with Shopify Hydrogen 2

Fast Simon, a leader in AI-powered shopping optimization, has announced a new integration with Shopify Hydrogen 2, aimed at dramatically improving the performance and search engine visibility of Shopify storefronts.

This move brings server-side rendering (SSR) capabilities to Fast Simon’s AI-driven merchandising and search tools, meaning Shopify merchants can now deliver faster, more SEO-friendly and personalized shopping experiences to their customers — all without sacrificing dynamic content or flexibility.

Hydrogen 2 is Shopify’s latest React-based framework for building custom storefronts. It uses ‘Remix’ technology to speed up load times, improve caching and streamline how data is fetched and displayed.

By integrating directly with this system, Fast Simon can now ensure that its product recommendations, search results, and merchandising widgets are rendered server-side (i.e., not in the browser), allowing for quicker load times and better crawlability by search engines.

This approach aims to solve a key challenge in headless commerce: combining personalization with performance. Traditionally, rich, personalized content has been hard to optimize for speed and SEO; but with this integration, merchants can now offer both.

Key benefits for merchants include:

  • faster load times thanks to Hydrogen 2’s SSR and streaming
  • stronger SEO, since dynamic content is rendered server-side and easily indexed.
  • real-time personalization at scale, such as AI-powered search and product recommendations
  • low-code/no-code control over merchandising and collections, even on headless sites.

Roberto Jimenez, CEO of Unimart, said the integration is already paying off:

“At Unimart, we want shoppers to find what they need online as quickly and easily as they would in a well-organized grocery store. With Fast Simon’s Hydrogen 2 integration, we can surface the right products faster — like a digital end cap — making sure shoppers spend less time searching and more time enjoying what they came for.”
